Hey, that is way exciting!
I'll do my best to get the word out when it is up. Audio, this way Conclave cometh!
I will admit that I am biased as I am a sound designer, but I like this idea. I actually would love to see it taken a step further and have audio for most actions in the game. However, due to the nature of the game, I must confess that this would most likely be quite a ways down on the to-do list.
However, if you were ever thinking of selling/leasing your engine to pen and paper groups--this would be really awesome. (Yes, I know I just said pen and paper in a digital reference). But this would be seriously cool for pen and paper groups if they all had tablets.
I actually think that the balance between storyline and gameplay is just right at this time. I also think the writing is really well done and very engaging. It's actually the reason I decided to start playing this game and have invited a bunch of my buddies in the first place.
I know there will always be a group of players that want to have more storyline, and groups of players who want to fast-forward to the combat, but I feel like a very good balance is being struck right now. However, I completely understand where you are coming from.
By the end of this month (August), we will be running a Kickstarter, and voting is one area we plan to enhance with funds we raise – including speedier vote resolution. We’ll have more details when the Kickstarter begins.
I think a good compromise for the playstiles would be to give the party leader the ability to be able to turn on a setting that would enable majority votes rule. This would be defaulted to off and any group would need all votes in to be able to move on.
However, if Majority Votes Rule is turned on, then a simple majority would allow decisions to move forward, again with the leader breaking ties.
