Just had a thought: the other drawback of using number pad is that it doesn't work so well for folks who are on laptops.
Perhaps put numeric keys on the movement grid when it appears? That way it directly corresponds to what you see on your keyboard.
Movement keys make sense, such as on a numeric keypad. Number keys at the top of the keyboard for actions during your turn. Enter key for confirming an action.
I'll have to create a character/class combination against min/max to see how it plays balance wise.
Perhaps enable a tutorial battle for the first time the account goes through the game? Most important for this is only the first character for that account; I hate having to go through tutorials with every single character created.
Perhaps a way to queue up all actions for your turn, then execute them with a single button click? I realize that'd be a huge redesign of the way things currently work, but it might streamline the process.
Ah, that's understandable. I'd say use browser detection for deciding to do this. Or make a mobile version of the site/application for mobile devices that interfaces with the game.
By the end of this month (August), we will be running a Kickstarter, and voting is one area we plan to enhance with funds we raise – including speedier vote resolution. We’ll have more details when the Kickstarter begins.
