    Hi Aaron. Are you talking about voting during party decisions? Some choices are only unlocked if your party has someone who qualifies for them; for example, a choice might require a high Strength score that typically requires a Vanguard in the group. So there's already a bit of what you're asking about if I've understood you correctly.

    Items generated on quests do pay attention to your archetype and should be discovered by someone who can use them, though it's still possible to get something that's not ideal for your particular character. If you're finding items that are a total mismatch -- a hammer for a True Bow, say -- definitely let us know, as that's almost certainly a bug.

    All that aside, we do want to give you options for items you don't need, whether that's turning them in to free up your stash slots or sharing them with party- or guild-mates. We'll take a look at this in the future.

    You're right about what's happening: Sweeping Blow and some other abilities that affect an area don't allow you to target inaccessible squares. The intent is to prevent those abilities from working around obstacles that should block them; for example, you probably shouldn't be able to Sweeping Blow through a pillar in the middle of the arc. Here, though, it makes less sense since the squares are inaccessible for another reason. We'll think about a better way to implement these sorts of situations in the future.

    During combat, the game displays icons that indicate whether a character has acted or not. If you see an empty circle in the upper right of a character's roster box, the character hasn't taken any action for the round; a single sword means the character has taken his or her minor action; and crossed swords means the character has taken both minor and major actions and is done for the round. We'll try to make this clearer in the next update we make to the UI.

    In the future we also plan to show whether players are online or not, which should make it easier to coordinate. We don't plan to introduce a strict turn order, however. We experimented with that approach early on and found that it bogged down the game too much.

    When you're in a party (i.e. not soloing), the game does email you when a new round or challenge begins. If you're not receiving those emails, please let us know on our Issues forum at forums.10x10room.com.

    Sorry to hear that! You can use your character's Renown to acquire items from the Vault of Arms, which is located on the quest map you see in between quests. You can only visit the Vault at that those times, which might be why you couldn't find it.

    The game store can be found by clicking on the "Support Conclave" link in the header. There's also a smaller link in the sidebar of your account's homepage, but it's not as easy to find. We'll work on making those more obvious.

    Have you tried playing a Rogue with the Dash ability? That grants the ability to move two squares with a minor action. In addition, we're planning to make Dash an option for any character with Agility 6 in the future; it'll be one of the abilities you can select when you gain a level.

    We've also considered increasing the baseline number of squares you get with any move ability. That has some larger implications for how combat plays out, however.

    We're planning some UI improvements that should make this more obvious. In the meantime, you can find the button to drop from a party by clicking on your character's box in the party roster on the left-hand side. The character details window that appears will display a Drop button at the top.

    Thanks for the heads-up about Thunderbird. We use SendGrid so that we can tell whether people are clicking on the links in our emails; it helps us know whether we're doing a good job of keeping them useful. We'll look into alternatives.

    Eliot, just FYI: Characters can still be re-equipped right after a quest is launched. When you see the event that shows which quest was selected on the map, you can still click on the Vault before proceeding. If you're not able to do that (or you don't see the event showing the map and the quest), that's a bug.

    Ouch -- that's fairly unlucky. On average, I think at least one of you should have broken free by that point.

    We've been considering an ability that would counter the restrained condition, and that would certainly help in this situation. We have some other ideas as well.

    Conflicts during action-taking no longer require an extra click to acknowledge the conflict, which should make them less annoying. Action-taking still requires a click to begin so that you can see the details of what just happened, but we’re considering whether we should streamline this further.

    Interesting suggestion, Ian. By the way, we've got some other improvements in the works that will make conflicting actions occur less often.

    We have something like this in mind for what we're calling Exploration Mode, which is one of the stretch goals of our Kickstarter. Players would choose a region from the map to explore, and the game would generate a mix of challenges in one or more locations within that region. While not as story-driven as our main quests, these would still lead to an ultimate goal rather than being disconnected.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for all the feedback! I can say that pretty much everything you mentioned is on our to-do list if our Kickstarter is funded, and a few we've already started working on. I'll comment here on a few in particular.

    Quests: We plan to have at least 25 quests for the main campaign, and some of these will be longer and more involved than the ones you play when first starting out. If we reach our second stretch goal, we'll also introduce exploration-oriented adventures with greater replayability.

    Party decisions: Expanding the consequences and paths you can take is one of our top priorities.

    Numbers: We definitely need to do a better job explaining these. FYI, a +1 in a trait like Strength is comparable to getting a +5 to a skill or Dodge.

    One small suggestion: in the future, it would be helpful if you broke out each idea into a separate topic here so that other users can more easily vote on which ones they'd like to see us do first. That will also let us combine duplicate suggestions.

    It’s very likely we will make a change along these lines. There are some complications to work out, most importantly how to make sure parties don’t get auto-advanced through many rounds while players are asleep (without forcing them to constantly remember to change their time limit before bedtime). We have some ideas here, but also encourage you to post your own solutions.

    Larry, that's a good point. While it wouldn't help parties that want to play at a faster pace, it would certainly help when someone just forgets to submit a turn for the day.

    If you click on your character's box in the roster in the left-hand column, you should see a window that includes a "Drop from party" button at the top. It sounds like we might need to make that easier to find.

    Trow Wisdom is more powerful than it looks. The bonus to all checks increases not just your base chance of success with all abilities but also your chance for a great or critical success. In addition, it increases your chance to resist all negative conditions and maintain positive ones at the end of the round. I play a lot of trow characters myself because I like to use the ability to tilt the odds just when I need to the most. It's especially useful for the Beacon, which can deal decisive critical hits when both inspired and wise.

    We do want to do more with racial abilities in the future, though.

    Strength does have some other effects: it helps characters recover from the restrained condition and resist some special abilities that involve grappling or shoving. Other stats help with recovery and resistance in different situations too. In addition, some decision points in quests have choices that are only unlocked if a character has a particular stat at a high level.

    We do plan to introduce other ways for stats to matter in the game, though.

    Thanks for the feedback, folks. There's a good amount about the world of Conclave and its history that we've already written but haven't been able to share yet. Some of that will come out in future quests, and we also have some ideas for how we can share more of it with those of you who'd like to see it without forcing it on everyone else.
