Having the ability selection to form better minor and major options
if the player wanted the tactics to change from single to party, then maybe being able to choose somethings that go into the two boxes could help this. For example you wouldn't want to change the minor with the major or have the option of two minors. what if instead you could choose some basic functions for either or. smash may not be a minor, or a good idea in minor, but this could stabilize player customization, and also relax some other major functions like a wasted turn or changing the battle system.
an example if the fire is in one spot, you could set a trap where you are or burst that fire somehow, so interactions with the level wont interfere with major actions or wont interfere with minor ones, depending on how the player wanted to customize the tactics,
