  1. Make Wicked Sting a Passive or 1 / challenge minor action

    Nearly pointless; you're nearly always better off going for an Off-hand + Main-hand combo (or better yet, Shadow Strike) when breaking stealth to attack. Doubly so when you get Stiletto. Only has limited niche use when under heavy pressure to attack quickly while stealthed (usually due to party members getting in trouble).

    Just make this a Passive which increases the damage of your stealth breaking attacks by +2, and has them impose Weakened on a critical in addition to their other effects, or a minor also usable as a major, at the cost of reducing its use to 1 /…

    • Make inactive players more useful

      Currently they just take the two +Dodge options. This in fact hinders the entire party instead of helping because they are not contributing in any meaningful way. If the AI was changed to even just take the +Dodge option minor and then Basic Attack (or even better, the non-basic at-will attack that each class has) for a random enemy in range, the inactive character wouldn't be as much of an issue as it currently is. An even better AI would probably take into account current remaining HP and try to flee or heal (using Recuperate), etc.

      • Allow us to draw on the encounter map

        It would be cool if you could draw over the encounter map using the map, in order to plan strategies and tell where party members should go and such. See sites such as Roll20 which have this option.

        • Enable party members to remove inactive party leader

          One of my characters is currently in a group with two other active characters, who all work well together. Unfortunately our play is being slowed by the party leader, who hasn't been online in several days. If we could remove them from being leader after a couple of days inactive, it would speed up our game significantly. Of course, if friends lists are planned, we could use this to reform our party without the leader, but without a friends list this is very frustrating.

              It would be great if we could create and join guilds, that way we could always have a list of people to party with. Guilds could have a hall ( like a bigger chat room ), ranks, emblems,etc

                We will be adding guilds to Conclave if the current Kickstarter is funded.

                It may not matter much right now, but it feels odd that someone could add me as a friend without my knowing it. I'd suggest at least sending a notice about it, and perhaps allowing us to approve the friend request (some of us just aren't as social after all)

                • Tweak the moving speed.

                  I play a Beacon, and when I group with ranged characters, I rarely get to do anything. Most of the time, by the time I would get to a monster with my 2x1/round movement speed, ranged characters have already killed those. In effect, when I play with ranged characters in the group, I don't get to fight, I just run and run and hope I will get to hit something this time before the bowmen kill it. Either the combat or the movement system needs some tweaking.

                  • consider the party-forming dynamics in Conclave

                    Both of these suggestions are based on the fact that parties come and go in Conclave, but some of the rules seem to assume that you stay in the same party forever.

                    1. Distinctions go away if you change parties, making all the work you put into something seem completely pointless.

                    2. Loot is handed out randomly among party members, but because I'd like to (ideally) only play a quest once per character, and because I may change parties later (see the intro to this suggestion), I miss out on loot. This is less of a big deal than #1,…

                      It's difficult to see the grid and the mundane effects on it. Same goes for out of bounds squares.

                        Use the Conclave engine and create other browser-based RPGs.

                        Specifically, a WWII/French resistance-themed one and maybe one even more D&D-like.

                          Only party leaders should be able to START a quest. Party members could then choose if they want to follow or not.

                          Some decisions could be entirely up to the party leader, and even some information about the quest. The leader role would then be more interesting to play, and in relation to the other members he/she would have more responsibilities e.g. for not putting them in dangerous situations or providing them with equipment.

                            We’re considering giving the party leader responsibility for selecting quests in the final release of the game. We might give them a few other privileges as well, such as breaking ties in voting. We don’t plan to give them responsibility for handing out equipment, however; we want each player to have full control over his or her character.

                              As it is now, the dead simply disappear, which is nice and clean and tidy.

                              But bodies don't ordinarily do that - they stick around. Most untidy (not to mention the smell).

                              More to the point, one needs to be aware of them, left one trip over them, or get a foot stuck in a ribcage...

                              I'd like to see dead mobs remain on the field in some fashion, and be treated like rubble or other broken terrain that causes one to stumble or become off-balance.

                              ??? Could add some interesting opportunities and challenges...

                                Windows game display is small on my large screen; Needs to be more full and the text is also hard to read sometimes from this far. I find this pretty annoying. Please have options to enlarge both these things.

                                  Runecasters can't defend themselves against magical attacks. A class whose purpose is mastery of magic, and they have no clue how to protect themselves against it? It doesn't make sense.

                                    • Rework the enemy targeting algorithms

                                      enemies always seem to focus fire on the nearest player, which is especially troublesome for a couple reasons.

                                      1. One member of the party dying ends the mission for the rest

                                      2. Most classes don't have ranged attacks, so it's not unlikely to get a whole party without any ability to shoot back.

                                      Some way to influence enemy targeting such as a mark or aggro mechanic would go a long way into making challenges less prone to spiraling out of control in a single round.

                                          It would be awesome if the Guild page could be more integrated into the game, and if we could enhance the feeling of it.
                                          One thing would be to add notifications if someone writes or post in the Guild page, or at least have the Guildmaster make notifications of sorts.

                                          Lastly, I am truly hopeful that someday we might have PvP in some sort - having two guilds going into war and have players being set up against eachother on a random encounter map.
                                          Should be the same thing, except we play against players and not NPCs.
